Our sail in at Detroit was at 10PM. As we approached the city from the south, we passed under the new Gordie Howe International Bridge. It is nearing completion and has a short section of the span missing.
A short distance up the Detroit River we passed under the "old" Ambassador Bridge.
About 10:30 PM we docked in front of the GM Building. While in Detroit, we visited the Henry Ford Museum. Here are a few photos of the exhibits. This would be a good place to come back and visit! It deserves a full 6-hours, we only had two.Leaving Detroit, we sailed north through Lake St Clair and the St Clair River into Lake Huron. At Port Huron we passed under the Blue Water International Bridge.
As our 66-day journey nears the end, we visited Alpena and Mackinac Island before disembarking at Milwaukee. With much to do getting ready to go home, this posting will be all for now. More in the future when we begin our next journey - Vietnam!
